Everyone knows Joe because he's been a star football player the last few years. Some might even envy his athletic physique or his cunning ability to always get an A on that impossible test with ease. There is more to know about Joseph Paul Flax.
Joe was born in Lawrence and right afterwards moved to Ness along with his three sisters: Katie, who's attending college at KU, and his two younger sisters, Sarah and Erin, who are both in high school. Joe's parents, Greg and Lisa, who he says are the most supportive of him, both graduated from the University of Kansas. Joe, therefore, is very passionate about the best college in the land. He spends countless weekends in Lawrence singing "Rock Chalk" after a KU victory, which of course occurs almost every game. Joe plans on attending the best college in the land next fall where he wants to major in the field of medicine.
If Joe's not cheering on his team, he is usually playing Modern Warfare II on his xbox. He even stated this as his best means of concentrating while doing homework.
Well, it must work because I can personally recall tons of moments in physics class where everyone is lost, but Joe some how finds the right answer. Joe's schoolwork comes very easily to him . Joe also spends lots of time playing sports, which is probably why his favorite TV show is Sportscenter. He's been a part of the football, basketball, and track team all four years of his high school career, with football being his favorite sport. What he'll remember most about high school was winning the four by eight hundred along with a team title at state track in 2009.He also told me he will miss his friends the most after he leaves for college. We've had some pretty hilarious times in our classes, especially oral communications this year where every day there is just something extraordinarily funny that occurs. This is probably why Joe chose this as his favorite class. His favorite teacher, he said, was Mrs. McNinch, which if anyone's met her, they would know why. Joe has enjoyed his four years of high school and would like to tell any incoming freshman to enjoy it because it will fly by before you know it.
Joe has given his best in every sport he's participated in and has helped our Eagles win countless times. He will be missed at school and in the community; nevertheless, we wish the best for him in the future.
