The New Thang... Mrs. Lang!

by Kourtney Lovelady

August 26, 2010

Jane Lang, one of the several new additions to the Ness City Elementary School faculty, teaches one of the two first grade classes this year. Since the first grade is larger this year, the class has been split into two separate classrooms. We visited Mrs. Lang's classroom to learn a little bit about her. She is originally from WaKeeney and a graduate of Kansas University. Her family includes her husband Gordon, daughter Jamie, son Gregory, and two dogs, Chuck and Howard. Although new to the Ness City School District, Mrs. Lang has had lots of prior teaching experience. She has taught in Wichita, Kansas City and WaKeeney.

Beyond the time spent on her teaching career, Mrs. Lang enjoys running half marathons and playing tennis. She says her goals for this school year are to learn a lot, grow a lot, and help her students do the same. She would also like to add, "I am just delighted to be here!" It's safe to say it'll be a great school year for Mrs. Lang and her students!
