Ms.Carlsie Eichenberger is the new English teacher at Ness City High School. She graduated in May 2008 from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, KS with a degree in English and a minor in Education. Growing up on a farm in Ottawa, Kansas, with one brother and two sisters drew her to Ness City because she likes a small town atmosphere. Ms. Eichenberger said she wanted to teach English because it was her best subject in school. She enjoys spending time with her family and reading in her spare time. The one thing that she misses about living on the farm is the peace and quiet of the country.
Mr. Matt Overlease is the new teacher in the resource room. He graduated from Fort Hays State University in December of 2007 with a degree in physical education. He did his student teaching at Victoria. Because he likes working with kids, Mr. Overlease decided that teaching would be the best occupation for him. He grew up in Norton, Kansas, along with two brothers and one sister. Football, basketball, and golf were among his favorite activities in high school. He came to Ness to teach because he felt it would be a good place for him to start his teaching career. In his spare time he enjoys doing outdoor sports such as fishing, hunting, and golf. One of the things he misses from Norton is their nice golf course.
Mr. Brent Kerr is the new industrial arts teacher. He graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2008 with a degree in Industrial Technology and Education. Mr. Kerr said he wanted to be a teacher because he enjoys working with kids. Growing up in Ness City, Mr. Kerr was the youngest of four. He grew up with two sisters and one brother. He participated in FFA and tennis in high school here at Ness. He moved back here to be close to his family and he enjoys teaching here so far. In his spare time, Mr. Kerr likes working on his house. The one thing that he would like to change about Ness is to make it a little safer.
Mr. Robert Londerholm is the new science teacher. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1977 with a bachelors degree in Physical Education and a minor in Biology. He grew up with two brothers and one sister. He came to teach at Ness City because he wanted to be back in Kansas. Mr. Londerholm enjoys cycling in his spare time.
