Younger’s Comments: “This was an awesome day all around! With all of the rain the course was in its
best shape in years, green and beautiful! I had excellent workers and I want to say thank you to all who
played a part in putting on a fantastic meet! We had 30 schools represented and it’s impossible to put on
an event like this without great help and my help was amazing. I have always wanted to host a huge
meet and I finally got my wish. The atmosphere was spectacular, truly an awesome event today. On top
of all of that, the kids competed great, especially the girls; WOW! They came to race today! They had
been ready all week to go up against some of the best teams in the state and did they ever deliver. Our
1-4 runner split was just 1:03. If we can maintain that throughout the rest of the season we will be
extremely difficult to beat. Daphne was our lone medalist but the girls won with the entire team packing it
up close. Callie and Chaz were both in 16th place so they were close to medaling. I’ve been impressed
with how each has improved week in and week out and how competitive each one of the girls are. We
head to Lakin on Saturday which is one of the best meets of the season. It will be extremely competitive.
We won’t have our full girls team but we will be ready to compete nevertheless!”
