High school football season kicks off with a home game vs. Victoria. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. Admission is $5-adults and $3-K-12 students.The NFHS live stream link is

Three seniors shared their thoughts on their final year of high school football.
Braddix is ready to get this year underway. “Ness City football will be different this year. We had a good off season with a lot of players utilizing the weight room. Our captains are leading with a positive team first environment.” Braddix’s goal is to "win more and improve with each game.” “Offensively, the upfront guys are blocking better, and our communication is helping each other know exactly what is expected on each play. The backfield is shifty and fast.” On the other side of the ball, defense will try “to contain to the inside with a fly to the ball mentality.”
Another senior (who is ready to hit people and not get in trouble for it) is Alex. “We have a lot of varsity experience coming back. We just need to go out and play. Victoria is a big time competition to start the year!”
Dakoda (senior) goals are “to go all 4 quarters and be in the game, keep it close to give the team a chance to win it at the end.” As a tight end on offense, Dakoda is expecting more targets (and catches) as the passing game has gotten better!” Dakoda would like to see a large home crowd–come out and support us!
