8th Grade Promotion

May 14, 2024   Fifteen Ness City 8th graders received their certificate of promotion.  The afternoon ceremony started with a welcome from Mr. Flax followed by the presentation of Junior High Awards with each 7th and 8th grader recognized for their extracurricular achievements.  Next, presentation of the KSHSAA Citizenship Award was given to Zaylee Lopez and Sampson Liggett by Mr. Reinhardt, superintendent.  . . .

Girls Track Back to Back to Back League Champs

Thursday May 9th, Ness City hosted the CPL track meet.  Nine schools competed: Ness City, Central Plains, Macksville, Otis-Bison, LaCrosse, St.John-Hudson, Kinsley, Victoria, and Ellinwood.   Points toward team totals are awarded as follows:  1st place:  10 pts 2nd place: 8 pts 3rd place: 6 pts 4th place: 4 pts . . .

League Golf Results

The golf team finished 2nd Place as a team for the CPL League tournament at Mariah Hills in Dodge City. Broxton finished 7th individually, Tyler 10th, Ashlyn 12th, and Braddix 13th. Congratulations to these athletes! Good luck at regionals in Atwood Monday May 13th!

Golf Team Takes 3rd at Plainville

Golf Brings Home a Trophy. Thursday the golf team traveled to Plainville to compete against 14 schools (67 golfers) and the weather. Coach Torrez thought  “the course was wet and windy, however, our golfers competed well.  This was the first moisture we encountered this season, which makes the game more interesting.  There were no sand traps but a couple of ponds to contend with . . .

Tiny House Is On The Move--UPDATE

  Our kids brought home the Ralph Huffman Outstanding Power and Energy Award.
